Background

"The 8051/8052 Microcontroller: Architecture, Assembly Language, and Hardware Interfacing" was written to assist the hobbyist, student, or professional to master the 8051/8052 microcontroller. As described in the synopsis, the book explains the architecture, the assembly language, provides an in-depth explanation of the 8052.com SBC (which was designed specifically to compliment this book), and covers common hardware interfacing such as keypads, LCDs, and communication via I2C and SPI.

As such, this book is a very attractive option for use in an academic environment. The book is newer than most existing 8051/8052 publications, it compliments the 8052.com SBC which may be used as a class project, and is priced significantly lower than most similar books.

Free Copy Program

In the interest of making it easier for professors and instructors to choose this book for inclusion in their courses, we are offering a free copy to professors that would be interested in reviewing the book for that purpose. Individual students are not eligible and we will not approve requests if we cannot verify the existince of the academic institution or if we cannot verify that the person requesting the book is a professor/instructor at the institution.

Since this offer does cost us money, we would also ask that only those professors and instructors that are seriously considering utilizing this book in future courses request a free copy.
