#166112 - I agree with Jez Smith Responding to: Jez Smith's previous message |
Hi,
A few years back, I have handled about 4 projects of final year students in Mumbai as their guide. Here is what I have experienced: Their course includes one day in week for project work. They take a leave from college for project work, and plan holiday activities on that day. They explain to me that they will do it in the 15 day vacation around November(Diwali Holidays). During vacation, they do not show up, because it is vacation time!!! And when the college starts, they do some activity for project say about 4~5 days, and then start their activity for submission, oral exams, and final exams, so no time for project. And then, very easily, they put the blame on the guide for not completing the project. I had recieved calls from their parents to do their projects..which I rejected, with all due respect. I had to take up the activity as a guide just because they had come from very very influential sources. But now, I have stopped this activity. And nowadays, you open up the magazine, ElectronicsForYou, and you will find ads that mention about giving sercives of completing project work with documentation for a fee. And Mostly, I think these are that type of students who ask for "Give Me Code". So if anybody asks for code, first I would like to see some efforts being taken by the Original Poster, what he(she) has studied, and then guide them...but NOT DO THEIR WORK. And I beleive this is what the moderators of this forum expect... and I agree to it. Bye, from Kiran V Sutar, Mumbai, INDIA. |
