#172917 - DCE and DTE
Hi Guys,
I've connected my 8052 with a USB to RS232 cable.
Using just TxD en RxD I get a good connection.

But...
I want to know if there is an computer on the other side,
because if not I want to start a stand alone aplication.
Wich control line should I use?

Wich one is the DCE and wich the DTE.
The computer is running a terminal programm.
Does this mean the computer is the terminal and
the 8052 the computer or not.

Please help.
Have a nice day
Robert

If it's not a DCE (modem), then it must be DTE      Andy Neil      02/05/10 12:26
